🎧UNRAVELED Episode 2: The Power of Forgiveness & Cultivating Resilience

A story of pivoting post-divorce

Hello wild ones,

We are back with another episode of UNRAVELED - the podcast for reclaiming our voice, power, and body.

In this episode, I sat down with my friend Shannon Hastings to talk about her journey through entrepreneurship, mental health, divorce, and how she navigated major pivots in her life. Shannon shares so many pieces of wisdom and this episode is jam-packed with ah-ha moments.

Here is a brief summary of our conversation:

Life can really throw up some curveballs from time to time and knock us off our feet. In today's episode, our guest Shannon shares her story of grief, pain, and difficult life transitions and how she cultivated resilience and embraced forgiveness to help her move forward despite the pain she was feeling.

Nobody knows what people are experiencing behind closed doors, so it's important to always remain compassionate and kind towards others. Shannon also talks about the courage it takes to talk openly about breakups and to celebrate the bravery it takes to make hard choices. She shares how she was able to grow through the challenges she faced and connect back to what matters in life.

After launching her first business in high school, Shannon had a lot of pivotal moments in her career. From running fitness groups, to teaching yoga, and to becoming a self-taught full-time wedding photographer, Shannon learns valuable life lessons and evolves through her experiences.

Episode Highlights:

  • Shannon’s first business lessons

  • Body image and eating disorder struggles
